Calling all car fans! After a two-year hiatus, the Canadian International AutoShow is back to celebrate its 50th anniversary. Learn about the latest advancements in automotive technology, see vintage vehicles on display, and attend live discussions of what the future may hold for our relationship with both public and private modes of transportation.
The Canadian International AutoShow 2023 will run from February 17th to 26th in the North and South buildings of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC). With over 650,000 square feet of entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Let’s look at some of the featured exhibits to include in your itinerary.
AutoExotica
If you’re a fan of exotic cars, you won’t want to miss out on AutoExotica. An annual favourite at the AutoShow, AutoExotica gives visitors the chance to view rare exotic cars up close, taking in every detail of the highest standards of automotive aesthetics.
Some participants in this year’s exhibit include Autostrada Canadian Collectors, Barrett-Jackson, and Caravaggio Corvettes.
EV Test Track
Brand new to the AutoShow this year will be Canada’s largest indoor electric vehicle (EV) test track. Guests will have the chance to test drive some of the latest and greatest EV technology.
If you’ve been thinking about switching to an EV, this hands-on experience could be just what you need to help you make your decision.
LEGO Technic
If you love cars and replicas, you’ll be amazed by the life-size supercar replica, built from thousands of LEGO® Technic™ pieces.
LEGO® Technic™ elements are designed to bring more functionality to regular LEGO® creations. At the 2019 AutoShow, LEGO® showcased their replica of the Bugatti Chiron. Not only did it have working doors and a detachable steering wheel, it could actually be driven! We can expect the same attention to detail for this year’s model.
AJAC Awards
The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) will also be at the Canadian International AutoShow 2023 to host their annual Canadian Car and Utility Vehicle of the Year Awards ceremony. Find out which cars sit above the rest according to automotive journalists at this live reveal.
You can check out the list of previous AJAC award winners here.
Toronto Star LIVE Stage
If you love to learn, the Toronto Star AutoShow LIVE Stage must be on your show itinerary. Here, industry experts will share their knowledge on all things automotive. Live demonstrations will also take place to offer education and entertainment for all ages.
